Subverted, milk can be seen as an opaque substance, obfuscating of what would otherwise be clear as water. Milk is also often associated with being a complement to consuming cookies, a liquid where cookies are often immersed in to make them easier to consume. Much like how milk can render a cookie soggy beyond saving, Shadow Milk Cookie seeks to drown his victims in deception until they too reflect his twisted world, unable to see or perceive anything else.

In the short-lived animated series Making Fiends, the teacher is named Mr. Milk, though he is never shown consuming or producing milk.
